Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office on Wednesday questioned Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger as part of its probe into Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Raffensperger was questioned in Atlanta in connection with Smith’s ongoing investigation into the events surrounding the aftermath of the last White House race, the newspaper reported. Trump asked Raffensperger during a Jan. 2, 2021, phone call to help him “find” enough votes to put him ahead of Joe Biden in Georgia.

The Washington Post reported earlier this week about Smith’s plans to speak with Raffensperger.

The Journal-Constitution also reported that Smith’s team wants to speak with Chris Harvey, who served inside Raffensperger’s office as Georgia’s elections director in 2020. Harvey received death threats due to his work and left the office in 2021.
